OK, I know this has been discussed, hashed out, contemplated and analysed, but what's one more time, aye?

Each inhabitant in the tank adds to or takes away from the bio-load of the system. Heavy carnivores like triggers, lion fish and puffers add a lot, while it's been written that clams in a home reef system actually run a negative bio-lode for the crap they extract from the water.......

How bout softies? They never get fed and produce little to no waste. Can we count them as an absolute zero though?

LPS, and anemones (more so when fed) I would think add pretty heavily to the bio-load as they are producing the stuff we are trying to skim out.

To sum up my question (too late?)......

Most nano tank ads you see show tanks teaming with life incompassing every square inch of usable space. Given the size of the system, I was wondering if this is really possible? If possible, is it advisable? Even with healthy weekly WC's can this really be achieved?
