Update: got the aquarium photo app, came home from vacation and found my lobophylia bleached, and my temperature way too high, but it is slowly recovering with the help of phytoplankton. The acan is still recovering from an incident that happened months ago, in which I came home from another vacation to find my maxi mini anemone sitting on top of him. He looked like a goner, but he looks like he is going to make it now. Pics:

Is it normal to get this much polyp extension on a favia during the day time?

My favia will have feeding responses during the day if I stir up anything in the water column. Have any sand sifters or stirrers?

I’m guessing its polyps are always extended from a combination of dosing phytoplankton, and my lack of mechanical filtration. My only sand stirrers are my flow, and my 2 nassarius snails. I guess it’s just feeding 24/7, which makes sense because it’s growing like a weed!
