Birdsnest branches bleaching

I have a birdsnest that I have had for quite a while. I had created a higher level rock slab in my tank and moved it up a couple weeks ago so now it is sitting probably 6 inches from the surface. I noticed yesterday that 3 separate branches on the underside look bleached...no polyps. The rest looks great and have full polyp extension. Even though they are on the bottom there is still plenty of light getting to them so I am not sure what is going on. Thoughts?

I can post a picture tomorrow when the lights come back on.

Thanks,
Carl

IMHO depending on your lighting its shading from the lack of light on the underside of the corals it happens to mine with my LEDs. :). I rotate my colonies from time to time to deter the shading.

Here are two pictures of it. It is under T5s, 2-10k and 2-Act. As you can see there are other branches underneath that look fine. I have had this in the tank for while and no issues. The only change has been to add the two slab rocks to create a higher level in my tank for SPS. I have also taken frags from it and they all look fine in the tank.
