I have an opportunity to purchase this wrasse at a rather good pricey. My only concern is I know nothing about it. Anyone here locally have ever owned one or have experience with it. I am worried about my sixline mainly, he's a mean little sucker.

Otherwise would a 25 gallon be enough for her?

No way would I put the tamarin in with a sixline. My gut feeling tells me that 25g would not be large enough either. :(

I hope you get it. They are, to me, the holy grail of wrasses. Stunning!

If that's the case I wouldn't get it. It's rather unique but I wouldn't go out if my way to build another tank just for her. The offer still stands , free large mystery wrasse and sixline plus cash to catch it

Terrible shippers!

No way would I put them in an existing tank with a know problematic fish, especially a sixline.

Recommended 50g per liveAquaria. Kinda hard to believe that is accurate as their max size is 9".

I must have just got lucky with my 6 line. Been a model citizen from day one.

You just wait. One day you will find a fish that you cannot live with out. You'll bring it home, thinking there will be no problem, and the sixline will turn.

That's what mine did. He was great for 6months. Found a pair of sunset fairy wrasses that I had to have. The sixline, never showing any aggression previous, found a new priority: devastate! Not just the next wrasse, but old fish too.

After two weeks of traumatizing the pair, at one point I caught the male and he lived in the sump, I finally caught him and tossed him in the 210. Happiness restored.

its a tamarin, they are EXTREMELY sensitive to stress, and very hard to get eating.

Once they are comfortable and eating they are pretty hardy. BUT those blue lines are even harder then the red/yellow tails.

Its my ultimate dream fish, but Im not gonna even try till I can get my hands on at least 3 to see if one lives.

and HELLLLL NO dont put it with a 6 line or any other even remotely mean fish.

Tamarin is not for sale. Its going into one of the groups tank. It'll still be mine :)

Edit: And by hard to eat, would this be true if food was live?

Where do you guys find all these unique fish, I know Sea is where it's at to get them but is there a good site for doing research on finding a unique fish for my new tank? I will finally be at a decent enough size to get something like this..

When I rearrange the rocks, you can have him. I'll pm you. Don't know when, that will be.

Like I said mystery and sixline are free to whomever catches and I'll toss in 200 cash. Assuming this is done without damage to anything

so is this classified info? Is the CIA gonna get you if you disclose the wholesaler of a freakin' Aquarium fish? or is this just another fantasy?

If you still want to buy I want triple what I paid :). Otherwise mine

Edit: Umm well yea. Ask any store what they paid for their fish. It's unlikely they will tell you. Im paying cost.

Edit: 1475 and I will hand deliever the fish from the airport to your house Ralph :)
