Alright well i am finished feeding tank for the night, in all he had a ton of flakes that has galric in it, pretty good bit of brine, mysis and cyclops cubes, i mix all three cubes together to feer my entire tank my corals love it they all open up when it hits the water, anyways he had a heck of alot to eat just now.

You can use fresh garlic.. Just put it through a garlic press and collect the juice.. sprinkle it on their food.. good luck

Also if you have cleaner shrimp in the tank it *may* help. They will eat the parasites that are on the fish but they can be reinfested by the new ones in the sand.. but then the shrimp clean them again.. IMO it helps

shrimp are doomed in my tank something eats them and i have yet to figure out wat lol

Plenty of vitamins in the veggies and fatty foods like mysis and squid a little alot. Garlic to entice it to eat the different foods. If the fish is not used to a shrimp it may get stressed out more from it trying to "clean" it

Didn't think about this.. True though.. Didn't seem to stress mine when I added the shrimp. They just made a conga line through the shrimp wash. lol

Well it's in the system now. Fighting it is the only thing to do without putting everything with gills in the qt.

+999 - this method worked for me, i fed heavy with metro and focus (2 different seachem powder products sold in a vial) and it did the trick in a couple weeks. my regal and foxface really fattened up as a result. but like everyone else said - not 100% necessary but may help if it gets worse

boost the immune system with vitamins too - i use vitachem once a week to keep everyone healthy.

well Most of the white spots are gone now, He may have one or two left but not as bad as last night, I can still see small tiny marks were those spots were but barley visible. Lights are going off now, as i am changing my light time to night till i get my new control panel for my lights i dont want to burn my house down with the one that got wet....

another thing to do is run the lights less or keep them dimmer.. This reduces stress on the fish.. The corals might not like it though. Just because the spots go away doesn't mean its gone. The parasites drop off the fish and go down into the sand and make many babies and wait for a host again. So your fish and other fish will probably be reinfected and it will be a constant battle. The only way to fully be rid of it is to remove all fish to QT for about 8 weeks and let it die out in the DT.

i have a 6" blue tang and he randomly has white spots, no worries as long as hes eating. metro, kana plex, and focus have worked well for me, i use it if the spots appear on other fish and not just the blue tang.
