Ok so I need help....

I treated my tank for akgea and that has cleared up fine after treeatments and water changes.... Now I have a few blobs of buble algea on a coral rock, :mad2: I know I need to take it out and put in another container to pop them but do I need to do anyhting with them after to kill it and make sure it doesn't come back? or do I just put it back in the tank once I pop them.... :confused2:

Let me know!

Thanks! :)

Take out the rock and carefully remove the bubbles without bursting them. I used a very sharp blade and tweezers to remove them.

Have plenty of Emerald crabs, because they are territorial and will only eat bubble algae in one little area.

i guess that would depend on how big the tank is though cause i have a 20 long and he goes all over my tank

I put two in my 75 gallon and 2 weeks later it was all gone . I actually seen them eating it and yes they traveled all over the tank .

WOW.. Any specific thing about them, just "emerald crabs"? They wont hurt anything will they? like my pistol or cleaner shrimp?

I only buy female emerald crabs. They normally don't get as large, and generally aren't fish aggressive.

Gotta check the abdomen.

anyone have an emerald crab i can borrow??? Not sure i want to own one...... i guess i need to do my homework on those.....

what size do they get? What am I dealing with here, I only have a 29 gallon......I don't want to over crowd my tank.....

the largest one ive ever seen was about 2" maybe 2.5" at the most legs and all so i wouldnt worry about them getting too big for your tank

how big are your emeralds gary? ive found that the smaller emeralds have a hard time getting the bubble algae off the rocks.
