C cameron Active Member Market Messages 3,214 Reaction score 0 Feb 14, 2008 #4 I assume I have topic right... the bubbles forming on or near algae is pretty common. Algae converts nitrogen to oxygen and the oxygen gets stuck by the biofilm surrounding the algae.
