it was not intended to insult or condemn anyone.it was spoken out of concern for you,your home and your tank inhabitants.if you took it as anything but that then you misunderstood my intentions and i apologize but my statement still stands.there are lots of products that could be used for that application,unfortunately,extruded foam board is not one of them.

I appreciate you understanding. I do understand this is not the ideal application and if I notice it sagging too much I will make arrangements. I do also appreciate the concern of me and mine. I have watched much and slept little. 4am last night my catcks knocked a scrap piece of 2x4 over and I was down the stairs in 22 seconds flat. I do believe I can probably still get shims under the stand and around the board. I, at the time had neighbors concerned about the project overflowing on to my porch. Fellow housemates to coincided and needed to get it put together.
