Cabinet build

Yeah, I'd never seen it before, was just wondering if this was something more common than I realized. Very cool idea, though I'd probably take my dremel to them first and round off the sharp edges.

That and maybe use magnets.
 
Oh no these shells have rolled around in the ocean, buried for half a decade or more and rolled around again - which is why they're black and not their natural white. The edges are long gone and actually quite smooth. I thought about magnets but couldn't see myself taking advantage of the benefit - especially when the encrusters made their way to the glass
 
Heh. You grow up in Savannah and brush up against any one of the numerous buildings faced in oyster shells, you learn a healthy respect for them quickly. That or bleed a lot 🤣

Quick - take a photo!! It’s filled and only 1/8th of an inch out of level across 72” - pretty good with that. And Over 1/2 ton Of weight being held up by my handy work so that feels good
