Is this a good setup to get? I am new to this hobby.

Looks like a good setup but you can't really decide what's best without knowing more about your tank and type of coral you have/want. There

Edit: Martinez here too.

Thanks for the reply. This is my first tank. It is 210 gallon. I know that I want a reef along with the fish. I was told depending on the type of coral that I would need a calcuim reactor. So I saw a used setup for sale and wondered if it was any good and how much to pay.

i still dont feel like we have enough info to advise you. without a stock list, and you saying you were new to the hobby i have a strong feeling a calcium reactor shouldnt be at the top of your list. maybe give us a list of equipment and livestock?

you would need a good bit of calcium depleting life in your tank before a calcium reactor is helpful

Yea, unless you have a tree in your backyard just growing cash i'd say wait till you know you need it. The only corals that really soak up calcium are SPS and Clams. In a tank that size you will need some large colonies and clams before they deplete the calcium in the salt. Even then you might be able to get away with just dosing for a while before you need a fully automated system.

LPS also needs calcium but in my experience they never really soaked it up enough to even need to dose..
