Ok I have always ran a single stage calcium reactor...So I always have to carefully monitor ph...now I read at marine depot i beleave that by adding a second chamber increaces ph....duhhhhh...How? Dosent make any since unless I am just missing the obvious....Feel free to flame my ignorent-ness but I was under the assumption that C02 lowers ph that is why you have to dose kalk or buffer etc...Someone please explain

Chris

the second chamber makes use of the co2 that is "escaping" the first chamber, raising the ph of the effluent slightly.

ok so if i use multiple will it make enough diff to not have to have a kalk doser or not...I am just trying to get the system as easy as possible b/c it is going to be 400+ gallons just in my basment not to mention my display...Does it not have that much of an effect or could i use three or four to make a big diff in raising the ph
