So... I was moving a few thing around in my tank this evening and discovered something. I've seen these guys forming on LR and didn't give it a second thought, but seeing it all over the bottom of the stalk of my Frogspawn piqued my curiosity.

They look like barnacles, maybe... But what in the world is a barnacle? Are they good/bad... Irrelevant??? Are they even barnacles?

After researching Barnacles, I don't think that's what they are. There are not tentacles or anything... They are just these random little white cylinders that appear on the rock.

I guess the reason I'm so intent on finding out what they are is because this is the first cluster I've seen and it's on MY FAVORITE PIECE IN THE TANK... Sorry for yelling.

I'd guess tube worms, I don't see any of the pocking tubes I always see with vermetids. Either way they should be harmless for your tank

Ahhhh HA!!!!... Thanks guy! Your answers helped me figure it out. They're Spirorbid worm. Apparently, Urchins find these little guys quite tasty.

I've been looking for a good excuse to get a Tuxedo...
