I have several metal halide and long compact florescent lightbulbs to dispose of. They all contain mercury which is considered hazardous waste. Home Depot only takes the small CFL twist bulbs, not our long aquarium ones.
Has anyone recycled theirs somewhere in Atlanta (preferably for free)?
Apparently some IKEA stores will recycle. I am going there (for the first time) this Saturday so I will post back what I learn. The Roswell Recycling Center does not take the bulbs, but referred me to Southeast Recycling Technologies (Kennesaw) who charges a fee.
Just trying to be a good world citizen.
Thanks,
Mark
