Chapter 3: 150g SCA Tank

The wrasse isn’t going to eat corals but inverts may be on its list. Where’d you get it? I love China wrasses but I’ve also ready they can be difficult to get to eat.

Nemo lilburn. I’ve been researching it them for a while too. I checked the mouth to make sure there was no damage and it also ate at the store.

It’s so beautiful

They are beautiful. The contrast of white and black with blue is gorgeous! Good luck with it!

So we lost the purple on the second day.
And I’m having a little trouble getting the China wrasse to eat. I’ll try to stop by somewhere tonight and buy some pods

Ooof. So the wrasse eats pods...
I will try to find some masstick locally to see if I can train him to eat

I'm having a shit time getting this wrasse to eat - mysis, flakes, pellets, masstick - none of it is working.
Stopped by @simonhill55 to pick up some macroalgae for my chaeto reactor. I'll probably buy another bottle of pods and put dump it in the reactor.

If you need some phyto to feed the pods I got you

Cautiously optimistic - wrasse is eating artic pods.
I've spent close to $100 buying and trying out foods for this little shit. Which is fine if he ultimately makes it...
If he doesn't...well thats another story lol

China wrasse still not eating. Im picking up more pods tomorrow. Borrowed a large fish trap from @Trizzino so I plane to isolate it in there with food and pods.
Its getting visibly thinner. Sigh.

I scored a brand new Jebao SCP 180 from Ebay for $100 including shipping. It arrived missing a power cord and I emailed the seller to credit me $10 and I'd buy it from Amazon. The seller sent me back $30 and thanked me for understanding. Yay.

Planning to pick up a skimmer this weekend.

Still working on getting the lighting.

I've currently got a regal, yellow tang, blonde naso, coral beauty, 2 clowns, 2 yellow wrasses & a black cap basslet in there. The wrasses have been buried for about 3 days now. The clowns are hosting the overflow and have been barely eat. I've lost sight of the basslet. So really it just looks like 4 fish in the tank. The naso is swimming circles around the regal and is getting about 75% of the food that goes into the tank.

China wrasse has been eating blackworms. I'm glad we found something that he'd eat. Right now I'm just concerned with fattening him up.
Wife loves the wrasse but isn't thrilled about having worms in the fridge...not sure what to tell you babe, I've got 2 more coming, lol.

All of the fish moved into the DT have acclimated well with the exception of the black cap basslet (timid) and 3 wrasses (still buried, although I have on occasion seen the larger yellow coris out for 30minutes at a time)

The only aggression so far is the regal nipping at the male blue throat but I think they've gotten things sorted out.

Skimmer finally dialed in…skimmate is a odd dark green color…in the other tanks it ranges from dark to light brown. I wonder why the difference
