I was just about to ask how you made out with the yellow pair
I'm sure a male and a female, or even multiple females, would work but 2 males is no bueno.I was just about to ask how you made out with the yellow pair
do you think they would be ok if you put him back in after a few weeks?
Usually Hippos are reef safe, but, I guess their is always the exception. Are you sure it is eating corals and not the algae on them? Are hippos reef safe? I have hammer polyps floating around the tank bc he's been nipping at them.
He also likes to move new frags around and use them as a soccer ball. Curiously, he pulls them out and drags them to the rear corner of the tank.
Blonde Naso is growing fast...he is already almost the size of the yellow fox and will likely eclipse the hippo in 3 months
Here we go - I have to slide the Nuvo40 about 15ft to the left corner to make room for the new tank. We’ll see how this goes…

@Rainblood that Elegance is awesome. How do you feed him? Spot feed, broadcast?? Mysis, Roids? Those ALK readings seem low to me, or maybe me keeping mine at what I thought was recommended 8.5 to 9 is to high ???I’ve been slowly introducing lps into the tank. I have to do it at night otherwise the hippo pulls them out and uses them as a soccer ball.
Tanks cloudy because I cannot keep my hands out of it
I’ve also been using kalk water in the ato to keep the alk up. I mix it in a separate bucket, wait a day and only pour the clear liquid into the reservoir.
All the fish are fat. The blonde naso is growing fast. It’s a beautiful fish.
