Chattanooga FRAG SWAP 2008

SALTWATER JUNKY AND I WENT LAST YEAR... IT WAS GREAT. WE GOT A LOT OF CORALS FOR LITTLE MONEY (WE WERE RESTOCKING OUR TANK AFTER A CRASH

ANYWAYS, WE WILL PROBABLY BE GOING. WE HAVE AN AVALANCHE SO WE COULD PROBABLY GET 2-3 MORE IN OUR TRUCK. PLENTY OF ROOM FOR COOLERS IN THE BACK.

WE LIVE IN CARTERSVILLE, SO IF YOU CAN GET TO CARTERSVILLE WE KNOW A PLACE YOU CAN PARK.:yay:  :yay:

IT WILL BE REALLY GREAT.

I stuck a thread in the loung area to coordinate a carpool. Melody and James, I'll post you on the list if you like. Let me know.

Can anyone bring up some MACNA flyers?

Small bump.

I have been chatting with Matt Cardberry from http://sustainableaquatics.com/">Sustainable Aquatics</a>. He will bring fish for those that would like to pre-order. Sustainable Aquatics is a hatchery that primarily breeds various species of clownfish but has new projects for cardinals and blennies.

I'll be getting some fang blennies from him an perhaps a lone clown to go with my female.

Unfortunately, he does not have any cardinals available, I was trying to get some of those from him.

They also have some nice onyx percs and some misbarred maroons that look interesting.

Chattanooga Swap frags.. BTW swap is tomorrow..

Hey guys too much stuff to list everywhere so here is a link to my stuff to buy. You can PM me here for what you want. Thanks. ;)

I was up there as well and got a clam and a Monti from Dr. Mac, some electric blue cespitularia, and some zoas.

I got two of my clams from Dr. Mac. I hope he's coming to Macna because his prices were really good for nice colored croceas.

Here is a pic of my "electric blue cespitularia," coined by the seller, FWIW. Taken lights out with flash, and a pic of same cespitularia with the 3" Teardrop Maxima i bought from Dr. Mac. Note he sparkly metallic sclerites (correct word I think)!

Nice looking cestipularia Dave. That's the only true blue xenia imho :). I haven't had luck with that version in clean reef tanks though... I hope it does well for yah though. It's absolutely stunning.

Thanks Jin,
The African cespitularia I have had for a while is bluish, but not like this. The guy I got this from at the swap has a store in Chattanooga, and it didn't look like much under the T5 lighting in his setup tank, but he moved it over to the next one with metal halide, and it really popped under that.
Dave

The african cestipularia is not a true cestipularia. It reproduces with stolons which cestipularias never do. It can look blue under low lighting but it will never be as beautiful as a true blue xenia aka cestipularia :). I know your tank though and I guarantee you're going to need dirtier water than what you have to keep this beauty alive... I actually setup a nano just for these types of corals as I and many others couldn't get it to thrive in a clean reef environment...
