Hello, I've ordered a Tusk and was wondering if it will try and eat my clams. If there is a problem I'll move the clams to the sump until I find a buyer for them. Was wondering if any of you here have had one with clams.

This fish has been a dream fish of mine to enjoy and with the bigger tank up i'm not letting clams get in the way.

Thanks for any input.

I just got finished reading a long thread on them on RC. Small they seemed tame but as adults they tended to eat shrimp and clams out of nowhere. It was a pretty large percentage

I told the LFS to get a small one, we'll see what comes in. I can put clams in sump and enjoy them there i guess. I don't have any crabs or snails. I do have a pom pom crab...lets see if his nems ward off the tusk. He only comes out at night too.

very cool fish. I had one for about a year before he started after the clam. I had the clam for about 6 yrs., so the tusk had to go.

I don't have any clams but I do love my tusk which I purchased about a month ago..Very interesting & friendly fish..He loves hunting @ night for pods & sleeps upside down like a bat
