ok... I must admit that I am tired of seeing iPhone pics labeled as crappy haha... IMO some of the best photos have BEEN from iPhones! They seem to handle the weird lighting of a tank better than most other cameras.

maybe I just don't know how to work it, but I have DSLR EOS and my iphone is MUCH better at taking tank pictures!

Just a random rant!

ive always said apple should make a camera. ive taken some really good pics with my iphones in the past. i think that if they did make a dedicated camera with some controlability you could take some killer tank shots.

I think it comes from shooting with an iPhone under LED. I believe the 5 is better but all prior versions just came out blue.

maybe it's the fact that the lighting is 20K, while natural light is 65k....:boo:

Don't give up on the DSLR. Try shooting on Manual mode + Auto ISO + 1/125 sec. + f/5.6. You have to get the lens square with the aquarium glass. If you try shooting at an angle you will get refraction from the glass (blurred image). Also the room needs to be completely dark or you need a lens hood to press against the glass. Tripods are a big help too!

All iPhones have a crappy camera. I have not had a phone that wasn't an iphone in over 5 years. It's past time for a change.
