how would you clean a tank that had a fish with parasites in it?
its a hospital tank.

Well chances are that if it had parasites in it and there are no fish in it for a while then the parasites are gone.

yeah well i can clean it with rocks from 20 feet away.

I used 4 gallons and filled the rest up with tap water in my 120 and let it sit for a few days.

vinegar has no noteworthy antibacterial properties(we cook with it). good for cleaning hard water stains, not sanitizing something.
