whats the best way to clean the outside glass of a tank? im assuming windex would be a bad idea.. so just water and paper towels?

Windex with vinegar...NO AMMONIA!!! The ammonia vapors will kill your fish. Hear it from the experienced! May have been the overspraying mist though.

Use RO DI water and a window washer rubber blade (squeege) . Wipe the few drops remaining with a dry rag. I saw George do it at Pure Reef and it works great. That is all he uses. No soap and film and its crystal clear. Pick one up a THD or Lowe's.

Coffee filter and vinegar here. I put vinegar on the coffee filter in another room.

i use windex too...i just make sure i dont spray it so that it mists or sprays into the tank

I use ammonia free windex as well, i spray it on the paper towel and then clean the glass.

i use windex just spray it directly into the paper towel

I have a reef safe glass cleaning formula I've thought about marketing, it also polishes chrome, tile and and fiberglass tubs.

Yet could be poured directly into the reef tank.

Seriously.?....... Think it'd sell?
