Cleaning with vinegar

I was going to put together my own video but decided that I would post this one I found to help those out that are not familiar with the vinegar clean up for equipment/tanks. Hopefully it will help some folks out there with the process of getting off old coraline algae etc.

That bucket is gross! :)

I scrub the organic material off my pumps before putting them in a simple glass of vinegar. I can get 2-3 maxijet sized pumps clean before the vinegar is used up. Pure, fresh vinegar only takes a couple hours to clean a typical pump... Also, heating the vinegar will make it react faster.

I clean with FIRE hahaha.. J/K Its a good video for noobs. I let mine run in a vinegar bath for about an hr and do a little scrubbing on the outside with a toothbrush ( my wifes).

This is a lie. Your wife doesnt have any teeth.
 
You guys are a trip. I'd hate to know what the wife does with your toothbrush :-O

Personally I thought the video was good, I didn't know that the impeller came apart.
