Ive got 2 B&W clowns that Ive had for a few months. Never had any problems with them. I just went to feed the tank and the female wouldnt eat. She is breathing really heavy and swimming fine. There are no signs of any trauma/parasites. The male clown and yellow tang are eating fine.

Just tested levels

salinity 1.023
ammonia 0
nitrate 0
nitrite 0
ph 8.2

Nothing has been added to the tank in about 2+ weeks.

She looks a little hefty/bloated. Could she be pregnant? if so, would this cause her to not eat/breath heavy?

Edit: edit: i know fish dont get "pregnant" but same idea

Temperature is at 80.01* like always

They would be cleaning a spot on the rock if they were ready to spawn. Any update on her status this morning?

Id keep a close eye on her. I lost a clown to brooklynela and that was her first symptom.

Hey Bud, thanks for the reply...She looked like she was cleaning a spot on the rocks and wouldn't really leave the spot very far. I kept an eye on her but I never saw her lay eggs. Her breathing was heavy all night. I woke up this morning and she seems fine. She doesnt look "bloated" anymore and her breathing is back to normal. I did a water change just to be safe. I fed the tank about 10 minutes ago and she ate like a pig as usual. Everything seems back to normal now...
