I had a pair of ocellaris clowns and one died about 6 days ago. I bought another ocellaris today and thought there would be no problem since it has been less than a week. The clown is bullying the newer one a lot and I think it might kill it if I don’t do something soon. The new clown is a little smaller then the original one. Anyone know what I can do, if I can even do anything? Thanks

Oh ok. I’ll have to wait then. Will let you guys know. Thanks

The clownfish died this morning. I didn’t expect this at all as it has only been a week.

Yea it was definitely aggression because the other clown was nipping at it and when I found it dead the fins were torn up. The old clown was getting along really well with the other but we had a really hot day and my tank actually reached 84 degrees even with the ac blasting, so one clown unfortunately died. Thanks

Aggression is the hallmark of clownfish. But if you get a pair, they will bliss out in their little territory and provide hours of fun. Until someone gets too close to the eggs...

Thanks everyone. I caught it and gave i it t to a friend that was looking for one
