Hey all - I tried to post to Humble Fish but didnt work.

I started my first tank a few months ago and quarentined my two Mocha Vinci Clowns for 3 weeks. Neither showed any signs of anything and behaved normally throughout.

However, now my female is some how "losing pigmnet"? As in - her colors dont seem quite as 'bold' anymore... I have looked up Ich, Velvet, Brooklynella and more but dont think it's any of that. Her behavior is still totally normal, she's eating, and fins / everything physically seems totally in tact... so it's just coloration stuff. It also could be me 'seeing things' because I definitely could be hyperanalyzing as this is my first tank ever and Im trying as hard as I can to keep everything on the up and up.

I asked ChatGPT - who I know is VERY not trustworthy - and it said that when clowns are stressed (like leaving LFS, going into QT, then going into DT) they can lose some coloration... however, other folks havnet heard of this... Anyways - can you all help me identify if anything is wrong?

Nothing to do but observe at this point. But in the future I would strongly recommend therapeutic copper to make sure you eliminate the possibility of velvet and ich.

I won't comment on your observations because what you see is your perception. I would agree with your thought of possibly over analyzing. As long as the fish is eating and moving normally without visable signs of distress, don't worry about it. Agree with @gill about the use of theraputic copper treatment for new fish.
