Too much flow. I tried and he got sucked into the skimmer pump like instantly. They're playing nice for now, but I think in going to ditch the female here soon. I'd just as soon bit risk it

Update: I had to pull the female, but the male is back to normal. Even the parts of his fins that were torn apart are almost fully healed. Sucks she had to go as I've had her fof three years, but it was for the best.

It happens. Over the years we had people trade in lone females, so they could get a pair (if they didn't want to go through the trial and error of finding the female a mate). Most would accept a juvenile male if we tried to create a new pair with the older female, but occasionally there would be a female that wouldn't accept any "boyfriend" we introduced her to.

Such is life, I guess!

Haha...it's ironic because the battered male is now setup to become the aggressor. I picked up a tiny frozen clown from rit yesterday, and they already started doing there little dance.
