Coors and Power Tools Build 60 cube

Thanks warloc for the info and welcome to the ARC. I will only use the flex pvc from now on! If you need help with a cabinet let me know. I have only built 2 but i think they look halfway decent.

first pic is the bare cube, 2nd full of holes, 3rd little 1/2" hole on each side for the closed loop.

Hopefully I can at least wet test this thing tomorrow, I still have to plumb the Closed Loop :(

chris cant waite tell its up and running all you guys with cubes make me want to set up a big 10foot by 10 foot cube

dude i saw it today and it is beautiful ....but i also loves jins tank and colors it is one of the most beautiful tanks i have ever seen even for its simpleness....it is very nice and colorfull

Now this is some plumbing and going to be some serious flow! I got all the plumbing done - Hopefully tomorrow I am gonna run it with tap water to see if there are any leaks, I would be amazed if nothing leaked. I used this glue called "gorilla glue" - I used that rather than PVC cement, to be honest I am not sure if it is as good as pvc cement. It hardens kinda like silicone? I guess Ill find out tomorrow. Here are the pics

looks great chris ...got a ?though why didnt you drill the bottom instead of the sides ....are you going to cover the plumbing

Chris for the PVC to PVC connection points I'd use the pvc cement as it will actually melt/weld the PVC together. Make sure when using the PVC cement you also use the cleaner for the PVC prior to so you get a nice clean weld. Other than that nice plumbing job there.

Chris, it looks great, but I'm really impressed on how you managed to clean the garage at the same time. LOL!!

Chris, I'm really impressed with your project. Hopefully I'll be able to see this tank up and running sometime.

Keep us posted with the pics!

I saw Mark's tank on Saturday during the T.o.T. ... hopefully, he's cleaned everyone's drool off of the glass by now. What an amazing display he has!

Looking forward to seeing yours up 'n running, Chris. Glad you stuck with it in spite of your setbacks.

:)

Nice Cube there Chris...love the CLS! Imagine it was a plumbing nightmare, did you have the plumbers crack going on?:yuk: I am sure the jet mechanics crack was an easy switchover!!!!:D Stop by anytime and check out the cube!

Victor thanks, I didnt drill the bottom because the acrylic is tempered. jk I didnt drill it because it didnt matter either way to me.

Warloc thanks for the compliment on the plumbing - I did use the gorilla glue on the pvc - hopefully it works out - next time i will use the cement

Bronco, wbholwell, jade, Linda and Loren K thanks for the comliments - it took all day to plumb it!

Mark I would have had plumbers crack but it was to cold :( When it gets hot out ill for sure have plenty of jet engine crack out everywhere.

Chris-
I wouldn't put my trust into anything but pvc primer and cement--just my opinion
