Copperband butterfly lonely??

I purchased a copperband and banner fish the other day and placed them in my QT. A couple days later, I notice the banner fish was aggravating the copperband so I took the banner fish out and placed him in the display tank. Now it seems like the copperband is lonely. He's eating but not the way I want him to. Should I place him in the display tank and see if being around other fish will help? lol
