Got a free zoo and noticed the piece of rockglowing at night. Just wandsting cering if anyone can id this green encrusting bunch o polyps.

My guess is montipora, but not capricornis, it looks more like an encrusting type (tuberculosa)

I'm not sure Jenn. Do you have pics? The polyps aren't as large as a cyphastrea. More of a low polyp.
 
Polyps look too big to be a Montipora to me. But hey, I'm as good at being wrong as the next guy :D

Heck for that matter it looks a bit like a piece of my Echinopora chalice ("Hollywood Stunner" for those who like fancy names).
 
Here are some updated pics. First pic was 1 week ago. This thing grows pretty fast.

I'm still leaning toward Cyphastrea... it grows fast too. Google for it and look at images - it comes in many colours, including green.

Again - I could well be mistaken, but that is my guess, for what it's worth.
