Coralife 220 Skimmer Question..Help Please

Ok...Rock and sand is in the 90...9.5 mag kicks big time..

Skimmer can be adjusted as far as water level but I have no bubbles...Is this normal?? If I blow into the tube that goes to the silencer it blows through and miscro bubbles start but then it fizzles and no bubbles...

Is it just breaking in?

Silly to give Pics it looks like mud from the black sand...maybe tomorrow

Yes D...I shorten the hose about an inch from the skimmer to the pump...kinking at the top..getting some brown stuff now (after taking pump apart) lol
