Hey guys,
I just recently set up my 140 gallon, I had to fill it with regular tap water as I dont have and RO unit yet and I was not about to try and transfer 100+ gallons of water from and LFS. I did use a water conditioner as well as a bacteria started. Most of the rock came from established tanks the sand was a mix of both live and dry.
I am using 2 fluval canister filters that I took the media out of and replaced with live rock rubble and regular filter pads.
My question is I know I have to be really good about cleaning the fluvals as often as once a week, How long should I wait before I do a water change? I dont want to mess up my tank cycle so I wasnt sure how soon to do the first water change.
Thanks
