I wanting to run a dedicated circuit from my breaker box for all my equipment that includes

Apex controller
(3) Radion G3 XR30 Pros
vectra m1 return pump.
(2) MP40s
reef octopus skimmer
(2) 300w jager skimmers
Probably some other miscellaneous equipment as well.

First im not sure of what size breaker i should use. I was thinking a 20 to 30 amp.

Also i know i should use GFCI breakers but i have read that Radions have a tendency to trip those breakers. I have contacted ecotech about the issue but have not heard back at this time.

Also looking for input on what gauge wire would work best or any helpful input at all really.

You cannot use a 30 amp breaker. If you chose to go 20 amp use 12 ga wire and make sure receptacle is rated at 20 amp. If you go 15 amp you can use 14 ga wire and a 15 amp rated receptacle. Definitely go with GFI protection. GFI breakers are expensive. Go with GFI receptacle. Test it often.

Keep in mind you can only load a circuit under continuous duty (3 hours or more) at 80%. Tank equipment runs much longer than 3 hours so you can't load a 20 amp circuit more than 16 amps. A 15 amp circuit no more than 12 amps.

Last, hire an electrician and do it right. :)
