Dendro vs. sun coral

That's a shame, considering how little funding the public school systems receive. Maybe if people were better educated, there would be a higher knowledge of the law, thus resulting in fewer people accidentally breaking the law.

So hypothetically, if I was ignorant to rhizo and dendro laws, and bought one, and someone reports me, an agent shows up and slaps me a hefty fine. So now the government profiteers off of my lack of knowledge. The very knowledge that they are responsible for supplying.

Bah bah bah, wOuld ye like any wool!?!?!?

We spent $10 million on a version of Sesame Street for the children of Pakistan this year.. Now THAT'S your tax dollars at work!

And they repayed us by blocking our convoys. :mad2:

You guys can't talk about wasting money if you are in this hobby... Pink chalice - 10 dollars, pink chalice of a different shade - 800. I still don't see the difference

Average spent per student is better than $10k. So a classroom of 30 kids is $300k. How much do you think is reasonable?

Oh and BTW, according to the US department of labor and statistics, the highest average wage of any state government employee is guess who? Public school teachers.
"Public school teachers receive greater average hourly compensation in wages and benefits than any other group of state and local government workers and receive more than twice as much in average hourly wages and benefits as workers in private industry." FACT

I think it's important we start looking at HOW money is spent. Not how MUCH. Then you will find the Devil's in the details.

The key word there is "average". I think it would be safe to say that there are more teachers than any other state government employees. I'm sure mr. Senator is not getting a teacher's salary, and I know that he is not doing his part by dealing with other people's undisciplined, un thankful, rude, obnoxious children. He's got other things to worry about, like whether his wife found out about one of his mistresses or not.

I do agree that how money is spent is a huge issue. Maybe the senator would want to consider driving a Hyundai instead of a Benz? I doubt it.

"Average" is gotten by a formula such as this. (x+y+z=A, A divided by 3= Average) So, the pure number of teachers is irrelevant.

I'm sure mr. Senator is not getting a teacher's salary, No, he is on the Federal payroll. It's our fault he's there. We voted him there and continue to tolerate the injustice.

BUT, BACK TO DENDRO'S!

Back to dendro's! Does anyone have a good referance of how to easily identify? Maybe a side by side pic?

Not sure what you are looking for here.:) Call it what you want dendro, sun, cup, thay are one in the same.
Skeletal exanination would be the best way to tell species.

Well that works. In that case, my sun coral is actually a dendro, and is now worth WAY more $$$$...... NFS! Muahahahahahahahaha.

I guess I was looking for someone knowledgeable to enlighten me so that if I saw either corals in a tank or in their natural habitat, I would be able to adequetly identify the species. Im a nerd and enjoy learning practically useless knowledge.

OK I get ya, or just missed it.

Lol it all stemmed from that daw-gawn rhizo thread, which led me to looking up dendros and getting interested in different NpS corals. I have a few dark spots in the tank that I would like to stick some NPS. Looks like it is gorgonians and sun coral only. Unless I could find aussie dendros or figure out the proper procedure to get a permit to have a rhizo imported and kept(if there is such a procedure)

Edit: I checked out the link, just what I was looking for. Thanks!!!!
