Dipping for red bugs on my new frags

Free sps frags!!!!!!!!!

Lol, with red bugs.... No Thank you!

Make sure whoever takes them knows of them.

Really? So anyone reading this thread to see "free sps frags" wouldn't know they had red bugs when the posting is about dipping for red bugs. :confused2:

I was assuming you would make a sale/free thread smartass. Besides I'm fairly confident no one that posted here so far would want infested frags.

I have a 2.5 gallon tank that I keep empty with a small PH, 50 watt heater, and cheapie thermometer. If I get an SPS Frag or colony, I acclimate it in the small tank, then add a small pinch of powdered (crushed) interceptor to the water. Turn on the PH for circulation and the heater to keep temp at your normal tank temp. Leave it in for 6-8 hours, then remove and place the coral in your tank. The Interceptor needs time to kill the RBs.

these were my bugs.....

interceptor from a presciption from a vet only.....

No....Interceptor is for Redbugs only. I would dip new corals in CoralRx or Revive as well. Interceptor is Veterinarian prescription only. I have dogs and a regular Vet, but mine Rx'd it directly for my reef tank. Georgia Veterinarians can prescribe animal medications for other than intended purpose (heartworm prevention) at their discretion. I just showed him some documentation of the use of Interceptor for Redbugs and he didn't have a problem with it.
