DIY Controller Board/Cabinet

24 inch Gap with the weight of a c36, simplest thing I could think of on the fly, but I actually turn it into a box, that will hold some weight. Obviously not as strong as plywood, but much more convenient to work with.

I know too 5 gallon buckets that aren't even the same on an already not level surface isn't the best example but from what I've seen Mass produced controller boards or cabinets simply aren't engineered well.

You honestly need a cabinet or board with hydros. I just threw together my collective on a PVC board the other day to get the details sorted out and the wires are an absolute nightmare, even with a kraken. Things is most pre made boards won't fit my controllers. In the end I'm probably going to mount half the stuff inside the stand with the sump and any 3rd party controllers or stuff I need to maintain in a separate cabinet. That or maybe put the sump somewhere else with the ATO to spread the weight...

I'm not even done hooking up everything either and it's an absolute horror of wires. The wave engine will add at least 4 more connections and 3 controllers. Was considering using my limited edition adaptive Reef cabinet but I don't think there's any way I could get just this on the face. Even if I did it would probably still be messy. Good lord, and I thought I had a mess of wires to deal with just with the Apex.
