These seem to be one of the most sought after and rarest zoas in existence right now. When I look at zoa show off threads a few years ago, they were everywhere, but I've haven't seen a current picture of one in the past 3 months.
Just wondering if anyone has them. If you do have them post pics please.:)

No, I'm talking about the Armageddons that are almost all gone from melting. I think that almost all of the mother colonies died off and there are only frags left.

Here are the real armageddons that I am talking about. They have a much more striking coloration.

So are you talking about the pink ones or the red ones? :)

Haha, I wish I had them:sad: they seem almost legendary now. In the Reef2Reef zoa show off thread, there are a few pics of them, but those are way back in 06. I have read that once the colonies get to a certain size they are prone to melting.

Justindville, can you post a pic, because tyree came out with a coral called tyree armageddon zoa II which to my knowledge have no relation to the actual armageddons and are much more widely spread.

Anything called "tyree armageddon's zoa II" have to be expensive, right?:D

very similar or are the same?

If you look at the pics next to each other, it is clear, at least to me, that they are not the same.

This is not my photo or colony, but this is what the real Armageddons look like when they are well cared for and happy. The colony in the picture melted shortly after the picture was taken.

here is a pic of my AOG. My camera skills are still a work in progress.

So now that we have established what a real Armageddon is, does anyone have frags?:D

I am still working on fragging on this bad boy. I am almost embarrassed to say how many polyps I was able to come across,... about 100. I was able to catch a guy getting rid of his zoas/palys to restock on sps.
