Does anyone have a dosing pump being controlled by a RKII? If so, how are you configuring it? I was setting mine up with the multi-timer function but would like to have a safety net of shuting down if the PH spikes indicating an over dose condition. I can't see a way to do it with just the RKII.

As far as I know the RK2 can only monitor ph. So then you would not be able to put the safe guard. But you should still be able to set timers as to when you want the dosing pumps on and off.

Hope that helps Bud.

Right! I originally set it up on outlet 8 as a multi-timer which gives three on/off timers but then if it messes up and leaves the doser running it would be disastrous. So now I'm testing it using a Home Depot timer with 8 on/off timers and plugging it into outlet 8 configured as a PH controller with the turn on at 8.25 and turn off at 8.30.

So once the lights go out at 5pm my PH will drop below 8.25 which will turn the outlet on but the pump won't run untill the HD timers tell it to. If it starts overdosing and the PH goes to 8.3 the RKII will shut the outlet off.

I may have to play with the PH on/off values, but I think this will work. At least until I come up with enough money to add another EB8 and PM1 to my Apex and control both systems with the one controller.

Thanks, that is exactly what I am doing. My initial test looks like it worked fine so I set it up to run tonight, but the alk will go into a cup not the tank. That will give me another look at how much I'm dosing. I also ran a wire to the basement so I can monitor the outlets and PH from a PC.
