Are they all the hype they seem to be? I'm almost sure I'll get one but wanted to hear some personal experiences about them. I read about some making noises. Others crapping out in 45 minutes. I like all the different features too. I currently have a Koralia Nano 240. Plz share your thoughts about these pumps. I plan on getting a MP10 for my Nuvo Nano 8. Should I go ahead and click "purchase"? Thanks

Best pumps on the market hands down...ive def owned alot of koralias and they are good pumps as well but if you plan on being serious and in the hobby for a while, go ahead and order one and save yourself the trouble of buying twice.

I currently own two mp40s with the wireless capability. I upgraded from two hydor pumps and the mp40s blow the old ones out of the water in my opinion. One of mine arrived broken it ran for a day then quit. They replaced my dry side free of charge. Do they make noise? Yes especially for the first few weeks. I still hear them but my system is pretty loud so it doesnt bother me much. In my opinion they are expensive for what you get but i would buy them again. They can move water! That is for sure! I probably wouldn't buy them if my system was quiet though. That's my 02.

I bougt sicce voyager powerheads. Researched and researched. They are supposed to be very reliable. Even on a wave configuration. I bought 4 of the voyager 3 pumps for less than 200 shipped.

Never heard of a Votech or any pump for that matter "crapping" out in 45 minutes. FWIW if that does happen with a Vortech, they are under warranty for a year.

I own three MP40wES and two MP60wES pumps, and they are probably the best purchases I have ever made for my reef tanks.

I have owned koralia, seio, tunze, and others. Vortech is by far the best. I have 2 MP40w's once mounted and aligned never had a problem no noise no break.
I would highly recommend them. They are expensive but then again you buy only once.

I have 2 MP40s and 2 MP10s, all are awesome. Like everyone is saying go with the best so you don't have to buy twice.

Until you come home to a power head that is flailing around recklessly reaping havoc in your tank. I love the older "modded" maxi jets with the magnet attachment.

One of the best purchases that I have ever made...plus, with battery back up.... I have so much time to put my generator online...if even needed

+1 I've had this happen a time or 2 and lost a clam because of it finally went with a vortech and never looked back

Same here. I'll use one MP 60 and 2 MP 40's in my 200 build. No closed loop, no rogue maxi jet bashings, no worries! Plus, Battery backup for power outages!

Well I clicked "buy" lol

Thanks everyone. I've been debating for a few days and it seems like I'm making the right decision.
;)
