Eli's 12 gallon nanocube

All in one tanks are the easiest for me to manage, so I decided to get a used nc12 from a very nice member here, Camellia. She even gave me a couple of frags to get started too! I moved the cycled rock and sand from my 5.5 over to this one.

Tank:
Nanocube 12 gallon with a glass lid

Lights:
2x BoostLED par30, one with 4xblue 1xwhite, one with 3xblue 2xwhite
Lights are suspended by 2 modified individual track light sockets from Lowes, wired into a conduit.

Equipment:
Maxijet 900 return pump
MP10
TLF Nanomag
Purigen bag

I will be keeping different types of corals, from softies to sps. I currently have 2 tank raised juvie clownfish, and I plan on maybe getting a small goby of some sort, maybe a green clown goby.

Can we see a pic of how you mounted your lights. I jsut set up a par 30 on my NC 6gal.

Saltbubbles: The lights are a lot less purple than in the pictures. Right now the torch is like a light green with white tips, but it seems like it is starting to color up a bit more. Maybe the tips will turn pink.. who knows! lol

dball711: Sure. I bought single track light fixtures from lowes in the clearance section (no track, just the bulb holder). Then I removed most of the hanging brackets and drilled holes into a conduit and wired them each into a single extension cord, connected to a timer. Only thing I wish I had done was wired a switch onto each one.

If you are interested, though, I do have an extra boostLED gooseneck clamp on arm for sale. It has a switch on the socket.
