Thanks for the online store. I use PE mysis for the other fish and they all love. The mandarin won't touch the stuff.

It is REALLY unlikely that your UV has anything to do with this as others have pointed out. You have to run REAL slow with a HUGE UV to kill something as complex as a POD. My 36w running at around 150-200gph will barely kill ick much less something as complex as a POD. I am with the others, your mandarin has gotten fat eatting your pod population. Keep in mind pods get smart as well and won't come out if they are getting fed on. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

Sounds like a job for a pod hotel.

Get some rubble rock and mesh netting (the kind used to hold fruit in a grocery works great just needs to be very open). Put the rock in the mesh and create a half dozen or so. Drop it down in your fuge or someone elses for a few weeks. Pull it out and put it in the tank. You can rotate them as often as necessary.

You can also buy them at Saltwaterfish:

This guy also sells them:

You can always try sams TiggerPods when he has them in stock as well.

FYI: I believe Sam is stopping selling Tiggerpods. The shelf life is too bad and, because he is honest, he said he was going to stop ordering them because he did not believe his customers were getting a good product.

What you NEED to do is start raising rotofers...

Thank you all for the info. I do have a very large mandarin and he is fat. I ordered some pods from saltwaterfish.

it is frozen ...it is a fresh water mysis......
