Finnex 30 gallon

Hey there,

I am looking at getting my first tank. i like the looks of the Finnex 30 gallon. does any one have any opinion of this tank. i also like the BioCube. The Finnex would be my first choice. Thanks for the the input.

I personally like the Biocube. The features and add ons such as the UV sterilizer, the after market protein skimmers and etc make the the biocube a pretty cool little tank. You can do just as much with the Biocube as you can the Finnex. However Finnex are good tanks, I just prefer the Biocube.

Just my two cents, but you may want to look at a setup with a separate sump versus an all-in-one....although the Finnex and Cubes are great. I just think that you have some more flexibility and if you put together a thoughtful design and get some good pricing on new or used equip, you may come out better in the long run.

<span style="color: black"><span style="font-family: Verdana">The Finnex looks great, I have a BioCube and the only complaint I have, are the lousy fans. Replaced the fans twice now, Oceanic was nice about sending out replacements. The third set I decided to go with double ball bearing fans. They run quieter and push a lot more are than the original fans.</span></span>

The stock hoods for the Biocube aren't worth anything really. I took mine off, tossed it and added a 150 watt sunpod hqi.

Finnex no longer makes the 30 gallon tank.

have you taken a look at cadlights 22 gallon tank? I have just finished setting one up myself and am pretty impressed with it! It is my second cadlight tank and must say that they make some top notch stuff!

No problem, you can look at my build thread also to see mine... I have not updated it in about a month, but it will give you an idea of what it looks like in real life
