Fish ID Please!

Can anyone ID this fish please. It says Sand Goby, but I've never see one do this before. I'm very interested to learn about this fish if anyone knows anything about it.

Those are garden eels. They have an abysmal record in captivity. While undoubtedly interesting animals, they are, perhaps, best left in the ocean.

Ok, thanks! I've looked this animal up and it's quite amazing to watch, but like you said needs to stay in the ocean.

Yes, they are cool to watch. I saw one in Jesse'sGirl's tank. If I didn't already have an eel I would get one or two. They look like little aliens coming out of the sand. LOL

we do have one, its a fun fish. he is about 14 inches long and hangs out ad waits for food to float by, u only see about 6 inches of it.

Buy local, they don't ship well. Reef2reef has been seeing more success with them. But I do agree with Stacy in that the survival rate is lower than it chances at winning the lotto if u don't know what you're doing.

At first when I saw these I thought it was a pair of eyeballs sticking out of the sand. I think these guys are so cute, but not for me!

thanh has seen ours also. we like to watch it, he stays up in the front of the tank, we have had it 6 months or so
