Need some help here:
I am currently cycling a my 140 gallon tank its a 7 foot long tank so I think I have a decent selection of fish to choose from.

What I need help with is how many of what I can keep.

I would like to have 2 yellow tangs, 1 regal tang, and 1 brown naso. Too many tangs in that tank?

I would also like to have a midas blenny, 2 clowns, and a butterfly or 2.

Of course a mandarin once the tank is established.

Last but not least a snowflake eel, I have kept eels before and absolutly love them so if I can make that happen I would like to.

With all of this being said is there anything that should absolutly go first or last?

All help would be appreciated I have never had a tank this big and dont want to over do it by saying "wow I have a big tank I can add whatever I want"

Thanks everyone!!!

My 120 Stock...
...in order how i would've liked to add...

I think it would be awesome! lol no real benefit. having them on each side of the tank would be awesome

O haha yea I had 2 eels in my 55, I just dint want them to limit my "fish list" I'm assuming snowflakes can live with eachother? Before I had a snowflake and a barred morray I think I need to talk to Chris at fish scales I feel like he is pretty **** knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff

One thing that I myself and others have taught is , to get your fish list set up with the fish that will of course look cool, but also have a job in the reef it self. So maybe a tang for algae and a goby for sand sifting etc, etc..

That makes sense! I guess my main question at this point is, would 4 tangs be too many?

2 yellow
1 regal
1 purple

I still want to be able to have the option of an eel
I would like to have a pair of clowns
I deff. want the midas blenny
A mandarin is on the list

and maybe a butterfly or 2

am I way out of control with this list?

I'm sure some would say that is to many. I think 7ft. is good for yellow, purple and regal but not a naso. Nice list but are you worried about the eel and the smaller fish you listed? For example, a midas is bite sized...and that is way to awesome of a fish to be food. I have never owned an Eel so I have my reservations about them.

The tank size is fine for the yellows and the purple, but sometimes you have issues with two of the same tang even in a tank that size... and the purple/yellow combination can sometimes be problematic as well. Not saying it isn't doable, but tread cautiously. Your best bet is to add the tangs last, and add them all at the same time. That way nobody has a turf to defend.
