What do you keep in a 10 gallon aquarium? I have seen clown and blenny but was wondering what the other possibilities are.

Many of the smaller gobies do very well (I'm partial to the shrimp gobies), as well as dartfish/firefish, and your smaller clowns/damsels. The problems with the clowns and damsels is that they tend to be more aggressive. I'd go for a couple small gobies and a purple firefish.

I had a maroon clownfish for about 1-1/2 years in my 10g... he was fun and pretty easy. As suggested earlier, Gobies are the "classic" nano tank fish.

Here's a very complete guide on Nano-Reef.com that I've been referring to lately:

Wow....great link! I'm thinking about setting up a 24g. This came just at the right time.

That is a really great link. There's a lot of good info on that site, but I stopped going over there cause a lot of the people have mightier-than-thou attitude, especially if they have more posts than you do.

I agree 100%

I had a 10 gal with a small clown, firefish, and a tailspot blenny... before the blenny went carpet surfing. Tank did get dirty fast, so I needed to do very frequent water changes.

I have a 20 gallon with a pair of naked clowns, they are very small compared to most clown fish. They would work well in a 10g. They have a frilly mushroom they host. Tim @ Keen Reef could get you a pair.

well, that tank didn't go so well, think it was not enough water changes. I started a 40+ hr job and it got away from me. other tanks also, trying to stem the tide now. Anyhow, think I got it settled, will get it tested and add a damsel for him for now. The one in there had gone though a lot between two tanks. poor guy but he was determined.

Sorry to hear that it we south on you Dang RIP. Heck I have done it with bigger tanks because of diseases though.A few years back Capiciuno had a group sale sale on clams from Nam and it killed my others and a few corals. Several members here lost up t0 9 clams I read. I blame myself though for not quaratene them.
thank
good reefing

If you had a deep enough sandbed a jawfish would be really fun. There are 3 commonly avalible types- dusky, yellow head, and blue spot. The blue spots are more expensive but they are really pretty.

Up until about 2 months ago I had a 10g for about 2 years. I kept a watchman goby and peppermint shrimp the whole time with no major setbacks. I did have a algae problem at one point, but eventually got it taken care of.
