Ok guys I am putting my list together to start at least planning on the fish. Tank is a 135 will be a softy tank with maybe a few LPS. Lighting is 2x250 watt MH, 2x110 VHO. 55 Gallon sump/refugium, aqua c 180 protein skimmer, Phosphate Reactor.

Have Clowns already picked out. I like sailfin tang, Purple tang, sixline wrasse, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also which should be added first and which one to come last would be ideal.

Thanks.

Drop the six line and go with a lightning wrasse and throw a golden midas blenny

Planning on also getting 2 cleaner shrimps so nothing that will eat them.

Edit: Thanks Hud339 I will look into those, whats wrong with the sixline if you dont mind me asking.

I highly suggest putting the Purple in before the Sailfin, Sailfins can be very aggressive.

Six lines are so mean, I have watched a six line kill fish 4 times its size. There are 100 different kinds of wrasses that are a lot better looking.

I hate my sixline. Depending on price range u can get so many cooler wrasse

Under 20- green, yellow coris wrasse
20-50 - meleanurus, carpenter, mccorrkser, blue flasher
50-100 - high fin flasher
100-150 - flame, rhomboid, lineuatus

+1 Tangs added at the end, sailfin last. My Sailfin (dejardini technically) is the dominant fish (over an imperator angel & achilles tang).

On the wrasse, go with a melanarus. Most underrated wrasse in the hobby. Gorgeous, reef safe, not aggressive and eats a ton of pests. Other than the tendency to carpet surf and bury in the sand at night (might kick some sand where you don't want it) - no real negatives. I'll have one in every tank I have.

Sixlines can be little devils, they usually pick on anything new, or go out on an all out attack. Mine killed 2 cleaner shrimp, and I believe a rusty angel. This doesn't have to be all sixlines, just seems to be a majority among people's experiences. I would suggest a four spot wrasse (Halichoeres leucoxanthus), I just got him, and he is a model citizen. He took out 95% of my pod population though, but he also took care of the flatworms, so I am ok with this. Also when I get my fuge up in a few weeks, I think the pod population will come back.

+1 Yellow coris

If you go with the Yellow Coris consider a Radiant as well, they look so cool roaming the tank together in search of pests to eat.

Ok list might be to big for a 135 but let me know your thoughts.

1 Yellow Coris
1 melanarus wrasse
2 Clowns
1 Sailfin Tang
1 Purple Tang
1 Naso Tang
2 Cleaner Shrimps
1 Royal Gramma
1 Golden Headed Sleeper Goby

This can work for a while, just the sailfin and naso will probably get too big in a while, but by then you will catch the "addiction" and just get a bigger tank!

Not disagreeing with what has been said here but......my six line has never bothered any other fish in the tank. At least not while I was looking.

By the time those guys get to big for my tank, Hopefully I will get my basement done and will have a 200+ in the basement. I Don't want to go to big though, if I ever decide to jump out of the hobby again, which I don't think will be anytime soon, been out 7 years. People don't seem to want to buy very large tanks.

How about a rabit fish insted of the naso the scrible or 2 band are the puppy dogs of coral tanks I love mine eats from hand slows you to pet him (loves to be rubbed between her eyes) and most of all protects new fish from being bullied
I wouldn't add one if you plan on a trigger in the tank though they hate them like a old guy and a little person
