its a few years old, but they will be available soon. Its basically just a more efficient halide, that uses magnetic fields rather then an electric arc to power the bulb. Just like it took about 12-15 years for LED's to really become mainstream, these will be here soon.

yeah but i thought one of the benifits of LED was lower power consumption, i think plasma uses MOAR power than LEDs, also LEDs last foevar
