I've got a RBTA that has gotten huge. This thing fully opened is 16"-18". I read somewhere that frequent feeding would help with a natural split. Only result I've seen is more growth. So now it's about time to help it split.

I've never fragged a nem before. From what I've read it's pretty simple, slice and dice as long as each piece has part of the mouth. I'm thinking about splitting it in half then one half into half again. Is there anything I need to be worried about? Any advice?

Check out BRS. They have a video that shows you how to frag them. It looks really simple. I've never tried it yet but I'm also thinking about trying soon.

I've seen a couple of videos on fragging nems on YouTube. I agree, looks pretty simple but never tried it. Just don't want to lose it from some dumb, inexperienced mistake

I fragged a big RBTA about five years ago, pretty simple from what I remember. Just cut it in a shallow dish with saltwater in it and then put them in QT. I made egg crate cages for mine so they couldn't walk away. Took about 2 weeks to heal.
