I just relocated my calcium reactor. In doing so, I calibrated the ph probe to my Milwaukee controller.

Used 4.01 and 6.86 PH fluid NIST certified; in pint bottles. I reinstalled my probe. 6.0

So I uninstalled it, and used the 4 and 7 packets that I ordered extra. SAME THING. 6.0

After calibration, I checked it against my Apex ph probe (calibrated 3 nights ago) in 7 fluid. The Milwaukee read 7.0, APEX was just a hair higher maybe 7.05. Close enough.

Well anywho. I adjusted the reactor and it's sitting pretty at 6.5. Glad I checked.

Thanks for posting this. I am really good about doing water changes, feeding the fish, changing out the media reactors, and making sure the bulbs are good; however, I almost never think bout the Probes and weather or not they are giving me accurate readings.

I am going to calibrate my probes tomorrow :D

I just installed the ph controller around 2 months ago. Calibrated it then, figured it should be good for 3 or so months. The manual didn't lie. Says to do it every month. I put it on the calender.
