Fuge tank and bubbles question

I have a fuge setup in the closet behind my tank that I have plumbed to overflow into the tank. I have 1 1/2 pvc running deep into my 75G tank but I still can not get it to quit bubbling. What can I do to remove the bubbles to keep them out of the tank?

Are you draining it into a filter sock first?
