Fuzz under torch

I purchased this yesterday and noticed one head has fuzz under it and the tentacles are pulling off the head. Any ideas?

Try a lugols dip to prevent any infection spreading perhaps

I went ahead and cut it off not knowing what was happening.

Sometimes on torches the infection always gets the rest of colony. If you dont cut off enough.
