Please give me recommendations to get anemones to move. I have a huge boulder that two anemones are attached to. I dont want to get rid of either, but I may have to if I can't get them to relocate off the dang thing. I've tried pointing a powerhead straight at them for 15 minutes. Aside from it looking uncomfortable for them they didn't budge. I was afraid to do it any longer in fear it would hurt them?? Maybe I'm being a little too sensitive. At the end of the day I'd rather sell them with the rock than risk killing them.

Sorry if this is confusing, I'm driving while typing this with my phone.

If hanging over water doesn't work, freeze some ro/di water into a cube and hold it to the foot. Should release.

Well they are on a 20lb+ piece of live rock, which in my 72 was my prized piece. I'll let them go with the rock of course for $100.00. The biggest one is a GBTA that is easily softball size sometimes larger. The smaller one is a RBTA that is the size of a 50 cent piece fully opened.

Shoot some pics up. Id really like the GBTA. Maybe someone else will go half or something.

That is the problem, if I could split it I would be able to keep them

Edit:

Well technically, I was texting at stop lights, just didn't have the time to explain further as the light turned green.

I understand. Im just not wanting to insult with a offer for both : ) Let me see how things roll

I've picked them off with a toothpick. I wouldnt do this unless you are confident in your dexterity

No worries man, honestly I really want to keep them. I'm going to give it one more go at it tonight with the ice cube.

With the ice it should be a QUICK response. The first time I used it took less than 30 seconds to completely remove the nem. If it's not letting go, don't just hold the ice there for 5 minutes or anything....that could be damaging:D

Woot, got both of them to move last night! Wont be selling the GBTA after all!
The small red one will be going up for sale on a 5lb rock if anyones interested, see sales thread.

It was a combination of three, Iceing the foot, letting it hang and gently prying the foot loose with a frozen plastic spoon.

Thanks for the advice! I'm thrilled that I don't have to sell it. My clowns were starting to look like lost dogs in a tank without an anemone. As soon as it hit the water they **** near killed the thing.
